Stating from top down, the spout is made of seamless solid brass incorporating the latest in casting techniques. The pop-up knob (by name only) is made of machined solid brass and serves an aesthetic purpose only. The sensor ring directly at the base of the faucet is made of machined bronze and is generally finished in the same finish as the faucet itself. It is bonded and fastened to the faucet body. The faucet employs a standard 2.2gpm aerator. The faucet shank is a 4” heavy duty solid brass machined hardware with brass and steel fastening system. There is no plastic used anywhere in the spout kit except for the sensors and deep inside the aerator. The complete spout kit weighs in excess of 3lb. For mounting purposes, the faucet requires a standard 1 ¼” hole in the sink or counter.
Below the sink, you’ll find the Faucet Automator™ model 400 (the heart and soul of the faucet). The Faucet Automator™ model FA400 houses the control electronics, batteries and valving system. The control electronics are encased in a deep bed of plastic resin which prevents water from gaining access to the electronics. Four standard AA alkaline batteries are employed. Duracell Batteries are included in all shipments. As an option the FA400-106 is powered by an AC adapter which circumvents the need to replace batteries. The solenoid valve is made of cast and machined solid brass. It utilizes a high efficiency, high quality, magnet latching tubular solenoid for water gating. Also utilized is an oversized laser perforated stainless steel particle strainer designed to capture debris prior to entering the solenoid area. A stop valve is employed for the purpose of water flow adjustment out of faucet. The valve is 3 ½” long and weighs 18oz (one of the biggest and heaviest in the business), it has standard 1/2” IPS inlet and outlet. On the water supply side, the FA400-106 is easily plumbed to a single or dual (hot and cold) water source. A mixing valve (factory preset 50/50) is included in every package. Every faucet sold undergoes 16 point quality inspection prior to shipping.
